Throughout Belarus, the traditional autumn campaign to restore forests, “Give the Forest a New Life!”, is taking place. For a week, until October 24, thousands of concerned citizens, representatives of work collectives and public organizations will go out to the plots to help foresters increase the country’s main natural wealth. As the Ministry of Forestry previously noted, the key goal of the initiative is to foster a careful attitude towards forest resources among the population, and the main scope of work is carried out in areas affected by hurricane‑force winds and dieback.
It should be noted that the “Give the forest a new life!” campaign started on October 17 and will run until October 24 inclusive.
Every tree planted by volunteers is a step towards a greener and cleaner tomorrow. The campaign brings together people of different professions and ages around a single common goal — to preserve and enhance the natural wealth of Belarus.
