Father’s Day in Belarus is celebrated on October 21. It is one of the youngest holidays in the country. On this day, it is customary to honour the dearest people — our beloved fathers. It is another opportunity to tell our parents how much we love them. Being a good father is the most responsible and essential job in a man’s life. To be an example for his son and a kind magician for his daughter. To teach, to tell, to protect, to explain — to do all this with love and patience — only a father is capable of it.
A father’s duty is not only to create material wealth, but also to be an example for his children, a support, and the very reliable shoulder the whole family can rely on. Amidst the constant daily worries and the fast pace of life, it is important to remember that our children look up to us and learn from our example. Children need good advice and support. A father is a friend, an assistant, and a mentor.

On this festive day, we congratulate all men who have the privilege of being called fathers! We are proud of you and wish you good health, peace of mind, family warmth, and the boundless love of your children! Thank you for your love, care, and support. You teach us to be strong, wise, and kind.

And remember that a dad is not your mom!
