Since the beginning of the year, 8 new transport routes have already been added to the forest fund of our country. Their total length is almost 35 kilometers.

The new facilities have been commissioned in the Luninets, Lepel, Polotsk, Volkovysk, Shchuchin, Vileyka experimental, Logoysk, and Osipovichi experimental forestry enterprises.

Six more roads, with a total length of 37 kilometers, have been prepared for commissioning. They will start operating in the near future. And 5 roads with a length of over 28 kilometers are still under construction and will be commissioned by the end of the year.

It should be reminded that at least 100 kilometers of new forestry roads are being built in Belarus every year. This makes it possible to involve additional volumes of ripe wood in economic turnover, carry out reforestation in a timely manner, combat forest diseases and pests, and promptly eliminate forest fires.
